Launching a podcast has been a dream of mine for several years but until recently, it seemed impossible to pull off. Lucky for me, Tonya has years of experience with podcast launches, marketing and hosting (she even co-hosted a cooking show sponsored by a local farm over a decade ago).
When Tonya laid out her marketing plan for the show, I trusted her to know what she was talking about.
However, when she told me that much of the initial excitement for the show would come from our existing communities, I wasn’t convinced.
I work with busy business owners. Women hire me because there aren’t enough hours in the days and they need help making their businesses sustainable. It was hard for me to imagine my ideal client as someone who would (or could) take time to listen to a 30-minute business podcast.
And yet here we are, celebrating one month of The Business You Really Want with numbers that defy expectations.
Data From the First 6 Episodes of The Business You Really Want
According to stats provided by our podcast host, The Business You Really Want has been downloaded 308 times by 192 individuals.
I’m amazed 192 real, live humans have listened to Tonya and I talk about the realities of sustainable success for women in business. And the download count means they’ve listened to more than one episode, too!
Even more than that, we have 8 Apple reviews and 24 YouTube subscribers. These numbers show that we’re creating a buzz in our little corner of the business world, but I know we aren’t doing this alone.
All of this attention on the podcast is a credit to YOU. You have shown up to listen, to review, to tell your friends, and to share within your networks.
Because of your support, we’re making a difference for business owners.
Though we can’t track everyone who has helped to spread the word about the show, I do know about the following supporters of our launch:
- Arianne Foulks mentioned it under Interesting Clickables in the Aeolidia newsletter.
- Copywriter Jaime Blair shared it on LinkedIn and in her newsletter.
- Mary Williams of Sensible Woo gave us a shout out in her Merry Mag.
- Debbie Floyd of Dances with Wool shared it to her Instagram Stories.
- Attorney Carmen Ramirez shared on Facebook.
