About Me
My name is Gwen Bortner, and I’m a business consultant with a coaching mindset. My superpower is that I know the right questions to ask to get right to the heart of whatever roadblock is keeping you from success, and then I have the enthusiasm and the tough love to push you to get over that roadblock. In my 35+ years of experience I have picked up a lot of helpful hints, and I pull insights and ideas from diverse fields and industries to serve you and your business.
What this means for you is that my “toolbox” is huge. I have multiple ideas and approaches for every situation — it’s never a one-size-fits-all answer.
My focus is on helping you generate ideas but then, most importantly, do the work to get where you want to go. I’m not going to leave you once we’ve made a plan; I’m going to push you to complete every step of that plan, and I’ll be there if anything unexpected crosses your path along the way.
I’ll work with you to achieve success on your own terms. It doesn’t matter how anyone else defines success; what we’re going to do is figure out what it means for YOU, and then identify the steps you need to take to get there.

My style is very no-nonsense. I like to think I’m optimistic but with a healthy dose of pragmatism; I’m here to be a voice of calm in the chaos so that you can focus on the path ahead.
My clients work with me because they know I’m going to tell it like it is, and I’m not going to let them hide behind “someday” and “maybe.” If we’re going to work together, we’re going to do the work to get your business to the place you want it to be. Whether you want to make your first million or you’re just trying to figure out how to sustain the growth you’ve built so far, that’s up to you. It isn’t my job to tell you what your goals should be; it’s my job to find the resources you need to achieve those goals, and to keep pushing you until you’ve reached them.
